Day at the Farm

Yesterday, we went down to Payson to visit Justin's Aunt Kathy. She lives on 30 acres and has a lot of horses and birds and things. It was fun to get away for a minute. Broc loved all of the animals and the fact that she had 4 wheelers. He is such a boy. Well he fell in the mud, fell in some horse poop and tried to get eaten by a goat, but he had a blast. He even rode his first horse. Thanks Aunt Kathy for letting us come down and spend the afternoon with you. It was a lot of fun!!This is just a cool looking bird she hasThis is a rhea. Smaller than a emu which is smaller than an ostrichOne of her mini horsesBroc's cousin Chelsea on her first horse ride as well. She loved it.

My 2 Year Old Riding His 1st 2 Wheeler

Justin decided to teach Broc how to ride a two wheeler
(When I wasn't home)

This is them leaving to go up the streetThe first attempt at letting Broc take overBroc finally getting the hang of it!So Justin let him go on his own!!!He was having a good time!!Thought he was the biggest Boy!!Wasn't really sure how to stopBrian said catching him wasn't the hard part it was getting all the pictures before catching him.

I didn't realize my husband and brother-in-law could be so creative. I didn't realize the scooter had a center kick stand. They just put the scooter on the kickstand started it and took pictures at different zoom distances.

What happens when you go Cal Ranch without really needing anything

The other night we went to Cal Ranch so Justin could show me some boots that he wants for the rodeo. To make a long story short, we ended up leaving with things other than his boots. Broc got some mud muckin boots to be like his dad and he got a cowboy hat since his head is bigger than last year. We also came home with some more chickens. They are so cute. Justin calls chickens an addiction. He pertains it to golf. You can't go just once when it comes to golf. Well with chickens apparently 4 wasn't enough so we got 4 more. This time they are mine. Well 2 of them are at least. I am just eggcited for the eggs come August. I am going to have some yummy omelets. Now if only I could find some green ham...Oh and here are some pictures of the coop that Justin built behind our shed. My husband is so creative sometimes. (On a side note, Justin's friend Mark came over last night and brought 6 more chickens. We now have 13 chickens. One of our new ones died the other day. Sad.)this is the group of our new 4. one of the yellow ones died yesterday morning. i just thought she was cuteour chicken coop. Justin built this in one night with his brother. He is so innovative and such a stud. I must say I am kind of a fan.

My Super Cute Nieces

Last weekend, Justin and I went to 2 of our nieces dance recital. I must say they did pretty dang good. Mariah is such a doll Cassyandra as I call her just has a lot of spunk. Broc just liked watching all of the girls dance. It was fun to watch. I danced for a couple of years when I was little so its fun to watch them do this cause it takes me back to my old school days. Ahh. Good times!!This is Mariah. She is the oldest grand kid on Justin's side. We love her and she is one of Broc's favorite cousins. This is miss Cassyandra (Cassy). She informed me she will not be taking dance next year because all you do when you go to practice is practice dance and that gets boring. She is full of so much energy. This is Allyson. She didn't take dance this year but she wants to next year. She was just a little slow to want to jump on the bandwagon.

Random Thoughts

I must say, I have not had any umph to blog lately. We have been keeping busy and having fun but the creative juices have not been flowing at all. Last week we went to Sacrament meeting for the first time since September (we set a bad example for our Primary kids, I know.) When they were passing the sacrament Broc looks over at me and says "Mom, I want to play." (Also not the best example for my kid either.) Needless to say, we spent that hour out in the hallway. Hopefully Justin got something out of the meeting cause I got nothing. He did however pick out a pretty flower for me for Mother's Day. After church we took his mom out to lunch then headed to Ogden for dinner at my parent's house. It was good eating that day. Not too much else has been happening. I once again lost 2 employees at work, but eh what can you do? Broc is getting so big and speaking more english every day. It's fun to be able to actually communicate with him better.
Here are some picture of what we have been up to these past couple of weeks. It's hard to believe how BIG my baby is getting. He will be 2 on the 31st. Time has flown that's for sure. Maybe it's time for another?....Haha. Yeah right. Not gonna happen for a while. But hey I had you thinking right?
His new thing is this helmet.
It is one of the first things he grabs
when he rides his bike.
Note to self....visit this park often South Towne Mall caraousel.
Could entertain him for hours I am sure.

Weekend Woes

This past weekend was my first weekend off since before Easter and it was much needed. I had gotten in a fight with Justin last Monday for being in work mode so much lately so yesterday was supposed to be a family togetherness day once he got off of work from the golf course. Well instead of that he went to his dad's to do yet another project. I was sad, mad, irritated so he told me we could go out to dinner once he got home. I got bribed but hey it works for me. We went to Ruby River since we had a gift card. The wait wasn't too bad for a Saturday night and with an almost 2 year old, the shorter the better. Broc wanted to wander and see everything, so he did. Well we got seated and trapped him in and then ordered fast so that we could get Broc his food fast. We order and wait maybe 25 minutes and they bring out the food. Guess who's order they messed up on. Broc's. It took 20 minutes to get his right order out. By then he was bored and wanted to go. He ate a handful of his fries and was done. Dinner was a nice thought so thanks babe. Maybe next time we will have a better experience. Not quite how I had planned my Saturday night, but hey I got to spend it with my 2 favorite boys. Love you guys!!
