The Randomness of My 2 1/2 Year Old

Broc is so funny these days and has such an active imagination. He will climb on our patio chairs that we have in the family room and they become his fire truck. Everything right now is the color yellow or brown. He tells us peace out and will bump his chest and do a spirit fingers type of thing. He loves his animals (dogs, chickens, pig, goat....more to come). He loves and adores his dad and wants to be right where he is. Friday nights are his favorite for the fact that he gets to go watch dad play basketball and play with his kids. Broc loves to be around people. He may play the shy game for a second but warms up to almost anyone. He and Justin have a game where they say I love you back and forth and the person that gets to say "I love you mostest" wins. It is usually Broc. It is cute.
Last night Broc decided he wanted to eat his dinner in his chair which I assumed was his chair at the dinner table. I was wrong. He wanted me to pull out his high chair which he hasn't sat in for about a year. He sat in it and ate dinner then climbed down. The next thing I know, he is back in his chair trying to scoot it across the kitchen floor to get it into the family room. We also went to the D.I. so Justin could find some things to make his chicken brudder or however you spell that and Broc wanted to find a treasure. He ended up coming home with a bowling set which he and Justin proceeded to bowl down our hallway. They are so much fun to watch. Justin loves his little boy and Broc loves his dad. I adore Broc and love watching him progress and grow. It is the greatest thing EVER!! :)

Grandma Lois Would be Proud

Blueberry muffins from scratch.
Betty Crocker eat your heart out.
is slowly coming.....

I have got spring fever so, so bad so yesterday we went to the park after my doctor's appointment. Broc loves the park so I am glad the weather is slowly warming up, (well for a minute anyway). Bring on the heat waves.

Valentine's Weekend

This year for Valentines Day we didn't do anything fancy. Justin doesn't cave to corporate America, so we kept things low key. Saturday we ran around buying things for our ward party next weekend and that night my parents and brother and his girlfriend came down for dinner. We had steak and crab. Yum yum!! (I am so glad I am over my hatred of red meat. I am borderline anemic, so at this point of pregnancy, I crave it.) Sunday, Justin went to church while I stayed home with a sick little boy then we headed to Ogden for dinner and to celebrate my sister's birthday. I made cakes and Broc got to have his own little cake because once again, since it's someone's birthday, it must be Broc's as well. He blew out his candle with Heidi then helped her blow out hers as well. It was funny. Happy birthday Heidi!! And I hope everyone had a good Valentines Day!! I know I did and I am glad my Valentine is Justin. He is such a stud and I couldn't ask for a better husband or dad for Broc and baby girl. I love you babe!!

Elder Colton Joseph Critchlow

Today my little brother entered the MTC to begin his 2 year journey as a missionary. It was a bittersweet moment. On one hand we will miss him but on the other hand he is going to be sharing the gospel to the people of Cuernavaca, Mexico. He will be in the MTC for the next 9 weeks and then off he goes. I am so proud of my brother for his decision and desire to serve the lord. I believe he will make such a great missionary and am excited to hear stories and experiences from Colton. He is such a great example to Broc. Broc didn't want to say goodbye to him. He knew something more was going on and in Broc's world, if he doesn't do something then it's not really happening. I am so excited though to watch my brother grow as a person and for his testimony to grow. Colton we love you and are so proud of you!!

Fun Times

The past 2 weeks have been busy and very family filled. I love it!! Colton had his birthday last Tuesday and I missed the party up there so we did something for him down here on Wednesday. He came down and played and we went to lunch and then that night we went to sushi for a birthday dinner.
Justin has started church ball and I have managed to become the score keeper when our ward plays. I am not going to complain though. It's kind of fun. I am just glad I understand the game of basketball which makes keeping score that much easier.
Saturday was spent at Payless (gotta love my home away from home) and then that night we went to my friend Steph's for Broc to attend a Valentine party with his friends Larissa, Halle and Mia. They made Valentine boxes, some cookies and watched movies. Broc loves his little girlfriends.
Sunday was spent in Ogden with my family. We took some family pictures, went bowling (can I say stressful. I need to make sure Broc has had a longer nap than 20 minutes next time), and had a dinner, all for Colton. He enters the MTC this week and will be there for 9 weeks until he goes to Mexico. I love hanging out with my family and friends and am so grateful to have them in my life. Thanks everyone for keeping us entertained this weekend!!

Colton's Mission Farewell/Ryland's Baby Blessing

I have been a slacker with blogging lately. I just haven't had much ummph.
2 weeks ago was Colton's farewell and Ryland's blessing all in one day. It was fun and spiritual. Colton blessed Ryland and did an awesome job and then he gave his farewell speech. He is such a stud and Broc just adores his uncle. We will miss him but know that he will do an awesome job serving the people of Mexico.
