Check-ups

Last Monday, Broc and Sophia had a wellness doctor's appointment. Sophia's turned into a medicine needing appointment for her era infection. Blah. Other than that though, she is doing great. Gaining weight and getting so big (to me anyway. She still looks tiny compared to Broc at that age) and fun. She has started smiling and laughing. She loves to suck on her fingers. When she doesn't want her binkie, she pulls a little stink face. She loves to play with her tongue and smack it with her lips. She is slowly sleeping more during the night. Most nights now she doesn't wake up until 4 or 5. It's so much better than waking up at 3 and again at 6. She is so observant of things. She just studies her surroundings. We love her!!
Her stats at 2 months:
Height- 22 1/4 in. 48%
Weight- 10.5 lbs. 49%
Head- 38cm 27%
Broc is growing as well. He ask questions about EVERYTHING lately. He has such a curious mind. He is working on his colors. He can count to 15ish. We are also working on the alphabet. He is such an observant little boy. He notices the most random things, like when my sister got a new door, he asked her about it before I even realized they had gotten a new door. He loves all of his "kids" (friends) and gets along with most everyone. Sometimes he gets shy around girls and bats his little eyes. I think he is going to be a flirt when he gets older. He loves to be with us and help whenever he feels so inclined. He loves to watch his shows: Phineas and Ferb, Kick Buttowski, I'm in the Band, Wizards of Waverly Place, Imagination Movers, Little Einsteins (we watch a lot of Disney channel at our house). Broc is all boy for the most part but is really sensitive when he gets in trouble. He hates to disappoint anyone. He reminds me of my brother Colton. He was and is the same way. Best of all, he is a good big brother and a protector of Sophia. His stats are:
Height- 30 in. 88%
Weight-36 lbs. 90%

Strawberry Days

All of the kids doing the Cash Cow.
I have NEVER seen this many
kids doing it before.
I felt bad for the cows.

For the past 5 years that I have known Justin, all he talks about leading up to summer is the anticipation of Strawberry Days and the rodeo. His tradition with his friends had been to go to all 4 nights of the rodeo. They usually made friends with the rodeo clown and just hung out all week. On the Saturday of that week, Justin would go to the parade and then go straight to the rodeo grounds to bbq, play football and then go save their seats for that nights rodeo. Well for one reason or another this year, that didn't happen. We only went to the rodeo 2 nights (Justin didn't even want to do that but we persuaded him) and then Saturday only did the parade. It was weird to not do what I have become accustomed to, but fun nonetheless. It was Sophia's first rodeo and the rodeo lost it's luster for Broc within the first half hour. (He wanted to follow his cousins around. Thanks Jordan for watching him for a bit and letting him hang out with you guys.) Summer is officially here!! (On a side note: Friday night Justin was part of the act at the rodeo. We knew the clown from a few years ago, so Justin got volunteered again. I wish my camera had more memory so I could have gotten iot all. He did a survivor type deal with a dance competition, a hula hoop contest, jump rope contest, and a relay race deal. HILARIOUS!!

Saturday's Suarez

2 adorable princesses.Top Savanna
Bottom the birthday girl Larissa.

Yesterday was a busy but fun day. In the morning, my friend Paige and I threw a baby shower for our friend Lacie who is having a little girl the end of July. I just love her!! She looks so stinking cute and Broc and her kids get along well for the most part. Luv ya Lacie and we can't wait to meet little Jocelyn :) (I am lame and didn't get a picture of Lacie. Paige figured out how to make these yummy fruit bouquets though. They were too pretty to want to eat).
In the afternoon, we attended Larissa's birthday party. She is such an adorable little girl. Thanks Steph for the fun and games and Happy Birthday Rissa!!!
On a side note, Larissa and Mia decided that Sophia needed a little purse to match her outfit. So stinkin cute.

Bear Lake

Pictures are in no particular order.....

Last week, the kids and I had an opportunity to go to a condo at Bear Lake with my mom and sister. It was a not the greatest weather, but Broc had fun nonetheless. He called the lake the ocean but he refused to swim. I need to teach him the concept that your swim suit is allowed to get wet. Thanks mom for a few days to relax.

Bath Time

Broc loves bubble baths and he now loves the fact that he gets to help out with Sophia. I have said it before, and I will say it again; Broc is such a cute brother to her. I love my kids!!

Everyone Do the Dinosaur Part 2

Saturday we did Broc's Utah County birthday party with our family and friends down here. It was a hot day, so we turned it into a water party and blew up his pool and played with his sprinkler toy. It was a lot of fun with water, food, presents and a pinata. Thanks everyone that came and celebrated with us! We have the best family and friends. We love you guys!!

A Day Out With Thomas

This past weekend was a fun one for us for 2 reasons. One; it was a holiday weekend, therefore we had Justin home for a 4 day weekend and two; yesterday was Broc's birthday so we got to go play and celebrate. For the past 2 months, if you were to ask Broc when his birthday was, he would reply with "I get to go ride Thomas." He knew that was what he got to do and that is what we did. My mom and dad bought everyone tickets to go up to Heber and ride Thomas the Train. Broc was in heaven and loved every minute of it. It's a cute little set up. We thought all you did was ride Thomas and go home but that wasn't the case. They had a mini golf course set up, a maze made out of hay bales, and a tent that had 3 train tables and a couple of coloring tables, and tattoos. You could also meet Sir Toppem Hat and get your picture taken with him. (Of course my child did NOT want to do that). They also had a thing set up where you could ride in a helicopter. As cool as it would be to fly in a helicopter for 10 minutes, it was not worth the $35.00 a person. After Thomas we went and ate at Pizza Hut and then went and got a shake. It was such a fun day and I am glad we were able to go. Happy Birthday to my little boy! Broc we love you and we are so happy that you are in our family. You are such a fun and adventurous little boy and the best big brother to Sophia. We are so glad we got to spend the day doing what you want to do!!
